QUALIFICATION
A. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN
CURRICULUM AND PEDAGOGIC COURSES
(i) Post-Graduate degree in Social
Science/Humanities/Science/Mathematics/Languages with 55% marks and M.Ed. with
55% marks.
(ii) M.Ed. degree with 55% marks or
M.A. in Education or B.Ed./B.El.Ed. with 55% marks in each.
B. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN EDUCATION
(FINE ARTS/ PERFORMING ARTS)
(i) Post-graduate degree in Fine
Arts (MFA) with minimum 55% marks.
(ii) Post-graduate degree in
Music/Dance/Theatre Arts with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent in terms of
expertise and professional experience.
C. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN PHYSICAL
EDUCATION
(i) Post-graduate degree in
Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) with minimum 55% marks.
IMPORTANT: - Besides
fulfuling the above qualifications, the candidate shall have cleared the
National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission.
Provided candidates who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in Education in
accordance with the UGC minimum standard and procedure for Award of Ph.D.
degree Regulations 2009, shall be examined for the requirement of the clearing
of NET for appointment as Assistant Professor or equivalent position in
universities or colleges or institutions.
Note: - (i)
Master’s degree in the subjects of
Physics/Chemistry/Biochemistry/Electronic Sciences or any other relevant
subject, will be required for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor in
Education for Teaching of Physical Science.
(ii) Master’s degree in the
subjects of Zoology/Botany/Environmental Science/Microbiology/Plant
Physiology/Biotechnology or any other relevant subject will be required for
appointment to the post of Lecturer in Education for Teaching of Life Science.
(iii) Master’s degree in the
subjects of History/Political Science/Economics/Geography/Sociology/Public
Administration or any other relevant subject, will be required for appointment
to the post of Assistant Professor in Education for Teaching of Social Studies.
